The first eight months of the Trump presidency have been a wild ride, both for U.S. domestic politics and international relations.

To help us make sense of the Trump administration’s economic policies, and their relevance for America’s trading partners, ANZ and The New Zealand Initiative are delighted to host Daniel J. Mitchell for a special members’ lunch. He will give us the latest insights on what’s happening in DC on tax reform, Obamacare, fiscal policy, immigration, infrastructure, and other important economic issues.

Dr Mitchell is a high-profile U.S. economist and political commentator. He is a Senior Fellow at the Cato Institute in Washington DC with expertise in fiscal policy, particularly tax reform, international tax competition, and the economic burden of government spending.

His work has been published in numerous outlets, including the Wall Street JournalNew York TimesForbesUSA Today, and even Playboy. Dr Mitchell has appeared on all the major TV networks, and has given speeches in more than 40 states and more than 50 countries.
