The Business Roundtable appreciates the opportunity to contribute to the thinking of your Taskforce. We strongly support the government’s goal of bridging the income gap with Australia by 2025. In our view this is achievable but only with outstanding economic management. Economic research points to the quality and consistency of a country’s institutions and policies as the key determinant of income per capita.
